Map Piece

For this assignment, we had to replicate a map for our final two page spread. My country was Vietnam. I struggled with this because I had issues replicating it. We had to make the colors pastel and add cities to it. I added different colors to it and tried my best to make it look similar to the map that I used. I tried to make the colors light and easy to see so that the readers that will see the end result will be able to understand what it says and the different cities that are on the map.

Frida Layout Project

For this project, we were given a story and some photos and were told that we needed to put it together on the page and add a headline. I read the story and tried to find a headline that suited to piece. I also added a few photos that I thought might be more important to the story itself.

Infographic Project

For this project, we had to find serial killers and make a graph from the information that we found. I chose to do serial killers from the Midwest. I found all kinds of information on them and then added that to a general graph of each serial killer. I thought that this should be pretty basic because the information can stand on its own.

Multimedia Project

For this project, we had to take photos from an event and make it into a slideshow. We had to add text to talk about the event. I did add text to this and used iMovie to make the slideshow itself. My event was a protest from the government shutdown. I tried to get different types of photos and different shots to make the slideshow look nice.

Photo Restoration Project

For this project, we had to restore an old photographic. This one seemed pretty hard for me because I didn't really know how to make it look better. Mine was a little too bright, but I definitely learned how to do something new. I tried to add more color and sharpen the photo to look better than the original, but I made it too bright and too blue.

Replication Assignment

For this assignment, we had to replicate a page from a magazine, as best as we could. I chose this page because it seemed interesting to me, as well as a challenge for me. I tried my best with this one. I found the picture and thought that it best represented what was happening in the original photo.

Color Shapes Piece

Our assignment for this one was similar to the black and white project, but this time we had to add color. I added different types of color (bright, pastel) as well as different shapes to make it a little bit different than the black and white. I really enjoyed this one because it gave me a chance to play around with the shapes and colors. I tried my best to have different shapes and different colors for the entire piece.
